What are the differences between the RS-502 and the CQ-1000?

The RS-502 is a disposable filter and the CQ-1000 has a replaceable cartridge.
The RS-502 lasts 12 months and the CQ-1000 lasts 6 months.
Monthly backflushing is recommended for the RS-502 in order for it to last 12 months (backflushing adapter is included with the RS-502).
The CQ-1000 utilizes KDF55 and crystalline quartz, while the RS-502 utilizes KDF55 only.
