FAQs on Coast Spa Filter

What is a Coast spa filter and how does it work?

Water from your hot tub circulates continuously through the filter housing. The cartridge's pleated polyester media traps particles such as debris, oils, and sediment as water circulates through, returning cleaner water to the tub. Regular replacement keeps that process working efficiently and protects your spa's pump and circulation system from buildup.
Replace your Coast Spas-compatible filter cartridge every 12–18 months under normal use. Heavy bather loads, frequent use, or water chemistry imbalances may shorten that interval. Watch for reduced water flow, persistent cloudiness, or visibly damaged pleats.
Check the label on your existing filter for a part number and dimensions. You can also use the cross-reference chart on this page to match by diameter, length, and click on products for more specs. If you're still unsure, All Filters' customer support team is available seven days a week to help identify the right fit.
Yes, with limits. Gently rinse the cartridge with a garden hose between the pleats every few weeks to extend its useful life. A deeper soak in filter cleaning solution every few months removes oils and mineral buildup. Cleaning maintains performance, but it doesn't reset the filter. Replace the cartridge on schedule to maintain optimal filtration.
An overloaded filter restricts water flow, forcing your pump to work harder and increasing energy consumption. Water quality declines as the media loses effectiveness and cloudiness or odors can follow. Left too long, debris bypasses the compromised filter entirely and accumulates in plumbing lines, where it becomes harder and costlier to address.
