I wish I would have known of these 1 micron filters years ago. I thought all there was was 5 micron. These don't effect the water pressure anymore noticeably then the 5 micron ones. 5 micron is 4 psi drop at 5 gpm and 1 micron is 5 psi drop at 5 gpm. They help a lot more with the iron smell I sometimes get due to high iron in my water. I also use chlorine but when the chlorine gets low, right before it needs changed and refilled I get the iron smell and these 1 micron filters help with that. I will definitely stay with these 1 micron filters from now on. For $5 a filter, how can you beat that?
