Proper maintenance extends your Sta-Rite-compatible filter's life and ensures peak performance. Rinse your cartridge every 2 to 4 weeks as needed with a garden hose, never a pressure washer. Spray between the pleats to remove trapped debris. Every few months, deep clean the cartridge using filter solution or kitchen detergent, being sure to rinse thoroughly. For best performance, replace filters on a regular schedule, as normal use will lead to wear and tear that breaks down the cartridge's capacity to filter. Even with excellent care, replace cartridges every 12–18 months or more frequently with heavy use or poor water quality.
