Proper maintenance extends Pleatco filter life and ensures peak filtration performance. Gently rinse your cartridge every few weeks with a garden hose, spraying between pleats to dislodge trapped debris. Avoid pressure washers that can damage the media. Deep cleaning with filter detergent can be helpful to remove oils and mineral buildup. Monitor your pressure gauge for rising pressure as a signal for when to clean.
