Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) Grids
DE pool filters offer incredibly fine filtration, the finest of the common pool filtration options. They are known to filter particles down to around 3 microns in size. This is accomplished from a white powder made from fossilized diatoms, which are microscopic marine organisms that left behind shells of porous silica that is perfect for filtration. As a result, your pool water is exceptionally clean and clear.

In addition to regularly application of new Diatomaceous Earth powder, it is necessary to replace the grids themselves.
