The genuine OEM GE SmartWater MWF / MWFP replacement filter fits GE and Hotpoint refrigerators with a round white plastic filter, typically located in the back upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment.

MWFP is the new and improved replacement for the discontinued MWF. Although identical in size, GE MWFP has been tested and certified* by an independent laboratory to reduce 5 Pharmaceuticals of ibuprofen, progesterone, atenolol, trimethoprim, and fluoxetine.

• Turn the used filter counterclockwise 1/2 turn and pull the filter straight down (The water shuts off automatically so you don’t have to worry about flooding your refrigerator)
• Fill the new filter with water (You may use cold water from your tap)
• Push the filter straight up into the fridge and turn it clockwise 1/2 turn
• If your refrigerator has a “Change Filter“ light, reset it

• Press and hold the “Reset Water Filter” button on the dispenser for 3 seconds
